Roosevelt Avenue in watercolor and risograph
Between 2022 and 2024 I visited locations along Roosevelt Avenue to paint watercolors on site. The street has fascinated me since I moved to New York City in 1988. Below are some of the paintings I created, which I reproduced in a small risograph book.
The book
Under the 7 is a self-published 16-page softcover risograph book, measuring 7×6 in. (17.78×20.32 cm.), featuring richly colored risograph prints of watercolor paintings of one of New York City’s more iconic streets. It was printed by hand at the School of Visual Arts RisoLAB in New York City.
The book is available online from the Studio Kitses Shop for $22 USD plus postage, and ships within 3-5 business days via USPS.
